|Spec alert!,
Buyers should note that the screen definition on this product may not match the specification on Amazon’s page. I bought this laptop specifically because the ‘more techinical details’ listed it (and still do) with a full-hd screen (1920 x 1080). On arrival (and halfway through the set-up process) alarm bells rang, and upon checking the screen properties I discovered that standard models only come with a screen of 1366 x 768. The hd spec is only available through Sony themselves as an upgrade. The seller was exemplary in immediately arranging to take back and refund the item – don’t know who writes Amazon’s spec listings but they need to be more thorough in their checking! Anyone thinking of buying this item is advised to check with the individual marketplace seller that their product matches Amazon’s decription, especially the screen resolution.

i bought this as a present to myself hehehe noticing the spec alert review i was abit concerned how ever but then realised that it is to spec as described and it’s HDMI output is still 100% HD also i love the way it runs i have never had a vaio before but belive i will get my wife one for her 30th (only so i can have this one for myself) i will however order it off of the vaio website and would recomend you do the same the only reason i bought mine off of amazon was because i had a couple of hundred quid in amazon vouchers so it was cheaper for me, but on the vaio website you can construct your own laptop to how you want it and it might be slightly cheaper you can also choose your own colour i made my computer as a pink one for my wife and it was only just over £600 and you can engreave it for free and it is free postage. i used to have a dell inspiron again which i configured and it just runs soooo slowly now it is unbelievable and it had nothing on the hardrive (it’s all on my external HDD) and it is only four years old i have deffinately made the right decision to get a vaio this time. however might be different for you depending on what you use it for.

The laptop arrived on time and in good condition. It is been excellent for all the work I have needed to do on it. However the battery does not seem to last that long before going flat
